About Dara

Hi! My name is Dara, and I have 6+ years of paid babysitting experience caring for children. I've worked at a camp for 5 summers caring for children ages 2-8, where I supervised daily activities, encouraged creativity, and helped maintain a fun, structured, and safe environment. I also have 2 years of experience working at a therapeutic boarding school for boys ages 8-18, where I provided direct behavioral support in classroom and residential settings and learned how to adapt my approach to each child's individual needs. This experience strengthened my patience, attentiveness, communication, and ability to remain calm in challenging situations. I graduated from University of Virginia with degrees in Psychology and Sociology and am currently pursuing my master's at Cornell. My coursework includes Child Development, Raising Inclusive Children, and other psychology courses focused on development and behavior. I'm dependable, engaging, patient, and genuinely enjoy working with children!
