I have an immense amount of love and respect for the elderly; the wisdom and stories passed down through older generations are truly irreplaceable. Their perspectives remind us to slow down, save or simplicity, and find gratitude in the little things. As I grow older, I see more and more of my grandmother within me; it feels like carrying her torch forward. I believe we need to return to our ancestors practice by honoring our elders by offering them the same comfort, patients and dignity they once gave to us. A future goal of mine is to become a certified death Doula, to help honor and celebrate life through the sacred process of death. Until then, I strive to bring warmth conversation and heartfelt companionship to those in my care.
