My name is Dan. I've been supporting people with mental and physical needs since 1998. I have cared for people in group homes, day programs and private care. I have supported people who are highly involved as far as medical and people who have had considerable behavior issues. I have experience cooking meals following dietary guidelines such as allergies, low-sodium, low-fat and consistencies for different swallowing disorders. My supportive roles includes open wound care, colostomy care, seizure management, as well as giving medications and supporting individuals to maintain their behavioral concerns. I've supported people who have seizure disorders, MS, TBI, developmental disabilities, intermittent explosive disorder as well as Down syndrome. I have supportive people with weight management and exercise programs. I have also volunteered for Special Olympics for approximately 6 years assisting people in wheelchairs for track and field games, assistant coach for bocce ball, and bowling.
