About Danielle

Hello! I am a Special Education Teacher, with a Master's Degree in Education and about 8 years of experience with kids of all ages and abilities. While I loved working with students, most of my passion for caring for and learning with children has come from my time as mom and in-home childcare provider for the past 4 years. My thoughtful, funny, creative daughter is almost 4 now, and she would be with me, as she doesn't attend preschool. A little about my values and philosophy relating to children: I believe in simple, when possible natural play and spaces with as screen time and other passive/limiting activities as possible. I prioritize letting kids be kids, not rushing them along and am a very responsive, observant and nurturing caregiver. I am a firm believer in free, child-led play, which I see as learning. This provides the foundation for and helps build self-esteem, creativity, resiliency and so many other life-long skills. I hope to hear from you!
