Working with children is my passion! I look forward to creating a warm, fun, learning environment for your child or children. Nothing means more to me than watching a child master a new skill or overcome a challenge. I have over 25 years of experience working in childcare. I currently run the family business from home and most recently ran a children's science center. I also have experience in nannying, night training for multiples (twins/triplets), preschool, prek, after school, summer camp programs and special needs. In addition, I have earned my Associate of Arts degree and Child Care Director's Credential. I am also certified behavioral coach for teachers and parents in Redirecting Children's Behavior. I'd be happy to also keep a couple homeschooling students during the day if the need is there. I'd love to chat and see if I can be of assistance to you and your family. I also love dogs and have one standard Goldendoodle (75+lbs).

Dana is absolutely wonderful and I would highly recommend her! She started working for us as a night nanny the night after we got home from the hospital with our twins, at just 4 days old. Dana is reliable and totally trustworthy. She has a lot of experience with multiples (including triplets!) so was ready with advice and ideas but also willing to be flexible and adapt as needed. She was also happy to follow whatever plan I had for the night. Dana is a clear communicator and was always great about confirming shifts and debriefing after the night. She is kind and patient with the babies and I trust her completely. I can't think of anyone I would recommend more highly!

Dana helped out family out tremendously at night with our newborn twins a few nights a week for about 10 months, all while also working part time during the day for another family.  Dana embodies everything you want.  She is reliable, punctual, caring, and she has so much experience, so can offer gentle suggestions.  Most importantly, she listened to all my views on parenting and sleep training and supported me. My son had some medical difficulties at a few months old, and she and I were a team, trying different things at night AND the completely different needs of his sister.  I just couldn't have done it without her.  Every morning, I woke up with a lot of sleep under my belt, the babies were happy, and the bottles were clean.   Dana has also watched the babies during the day as well as my 6 year old on occasion.  She is firm with good schedules and rules for my older son, but flexible where it counts and fun.  I am blessed to have found her and you will be too!

Dana is one of the best sitters we've ever had! She is extremely reliable. She engages the children in all sorts of different activities. Her communication is excellent. The kids absolutely adore her. She has dependable transportation. Dana is extremely flexible and adheres to the family rules and schedules. She leaves my house neater than she found it. She is very educated with early childhood development and brings along many years of experience. I cannot say enough about her! Thank you Dana!

Dana is the absolute best! Kids just love her. She was such a blessing to our family, very kind and loving and she taught them so much. 

Dana worked as a night nanny to our newborn triplets for approximately 8 months (until they began sleeping through the night). She was always at least 5-10 minutes early, never called in sick, and maintained a calm and positive attitude 100% of the time. Managing three newborn children is not easy and Dana had the experience and maturity necessary to work long hours, handle three babies (with reflux) on her own, and leave the next morning with our kitchen and nursery cleaner than as she had found it when she arrived. She was able to pull from previous experience to provide suggestions that aided in getting our trio to sleep through the night successfully. I also have a two year old daughter who Dana was not responsible for while here but was still willing to allow me to sleep a little longer some mornings by getting her up and ready for the day. Additionally, Dana sometimes babysat all four children during the day if my husband and I wanted to get away for a few hours. It should be noted that I do not leave my children with anyone outside of family. Once we got to know Dana and recognized her ability to responsibly manage all four children, we began calling her before anyone when we needed a sitter. She is organized, detail-oriented, experienced, compassionate, calm and above all professional. We are truly going to miss her!

Dana is the perfect Nanny.  I was terrified about leaving our 5 month old baby boy with anyone other than our own families until I met Dana.  As soon as I saw her in action, she eased all my fears.  She greeted our little guy right away, was so attentive, and started talking, playing, singing, teaching right away.  She is extremely punctual, and she stays at the end of the day to give me the updates on everything that happened throughout the day.  She is such a positive influence on our little guy.  Each week he seems to learn something new with Dana.  They go for walks and play dates, and she always checks in with me beforehand to make sure I'm comfortable with any outing.  Our little guy is now 8 months, and he is always so happy to see her.  She has been a huge help for us as first time parents as she has awesome experience in multiple areas of childcare.  Dana goes above and beyond what I even expected, which was A LOT!  Any family would be very lucky to have Dana as their nanny.  I'm so very sad to be losing her!  She is moving out of the area to be with her sweet baby niece and family, but she will be greatly missed and called frequently!!  She's leaving some very big shoes to fill!

A major caveat to my rating is Dana is my sister in law. However, because of Dana's years of experience and way with children, we went out of our way to arrange for her to move in with us, and take care of our newborn. I am in the middle of flight training with the U.S. Navy and have not much free time available. My wife is still working just over part time, and we couldn't think of anyone else we would want helping raise our daughter than her aunt. Dana's experience with children and her tricks, and tips continue to amaze me daily. She is so attentive, and truly takes care and nurtures our daughter. She doesn't just puts her in a swing/crib and does her own thing like I would fear of others. She reads, interacts for hours, and takes her places. She goes on walks with, helps with bath time, changing, everything. Not only that but she helps cook and clean our entire house too, above and beyond anything we previously arranged. While she is our daughter's aunt, we do pay her for her services. She is worth all of it and more.  

Many of her previous clients continue to call Dana for advice. Not only that but because she has such a good report with them, she genuinely is interested in receiving updates, and video chats with them frequently. We have even arranged to have her use her free time to work for some of her previous clients, to watch their children during vacations or busy times in their lives. This is a true testament to Dana that these families would go out of their way to fly her to watch their children, rather than find someone else. 

While our plans will change in the near future, and she will be in a better position to watch our daughter more, we will sincerely miss all the help, support, and care Dana has shown to her niece. We will be sad to see her move on. Whoever does hire her services afterwards, will be very lucky to do so.  Don't just take my word for it. Ask all of her previous clients. It's their rave reports of Dana that helped convince us this is what we should do for ourselves.

Dana has been a perfect nanny for our four children (infant twins, 5 year old and 9 year old). She is caring, engaging and always problem solving with great solutions. We love the songs and sign language that she taught the babies. Her help around the house with light housekeeping was also very appreciated! She is dependable and an excellent caregiver.

Dana is our current nanny. I have toddler twins, and we no longer need her services because we were accepted into preschool. Dana is absolutely wonderful. In the seven months time she has been with us I have watched my children's language explode! She is incredibly thoughtful in every action and works extremely well to accommodate any request we give her. My children's independence and overall confidence has improved exponentially since she has been with us. Dana is always in a happy upbeat mood. She has worked with me on any issues that come up explaining how she handled a challenging situation and helping my husband and I become better parents because of her help. Additionally, Dana always arrives a few minutes early and has never missed a day (or even 1 minute) unexpectedly. She is extremely dependable.
