Hello!

After tutoring math to primary school children in Denver from 2015-16 I realized I absolutely love working with children. I find joy in their openness to learn new things and express themselves unapologetically (especially when I give/get a hug :-)). I love to sing with them/to them depending on how little, dance and make them laugh. It's so rewarding to me so it's a win-win!

I have worked with a 4-month-old, 6-month-old, 10-month-old, 16-month-old, 2 1/2, 3, 5, 7, 9 and 11-year-old (some of them simultaneously). 

I love dancing (swing is my favorite), hiking, cooking, reading, singing and bike riding. 

In the past I've worked with developmentally disabled adults helping them to live independently. I was also a Cook /House Manager at a shelter. I am told I am fun, genuine, loving and patient.

Dana is a real gem.  In March 2023, Dana began caring for our child and another family's child in a nanny share.  The only reason her time with us is coming to a close is because our nanny share is ending naturally due to a move and other family circumstances have changed.  We cannot say enough wonderful things about Dana.  She is energetic and caring, she takes the kids out on walks and field trips constantly, and she very well experienced.  Her presence is positive and stabilizing.  I recommend her very highly.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars. Dana is amazing. She has worked with our family over a year, and we have to move on because we are moving. Our daughter has been part of a nanny-share with another kiddo and Dana since March 2023 when she was 9 months. Dana’s incredible. She’s just a fantastic human and is wonderful with children. They make it outside every day, go on field trips, etc. She is energetic, patient, loving, hard working, and reliable. I can’t overstate how wonderful Dana is. 

Dana worked with us for several months when my daughter was about 3 months and I was returning to work. It was very clear she loves what she does and does not just see this as a job. She constantly engaged with our daughter in a loving and caring way and took interest in her development/milestones. She was punctual and reliable on top of that. Any family would be lucky to have her!

Dana has cared for our two young daughters multiple times and we always feel extremely comfortable leaving them in Dana's care. Her calm, kind demeanor works really well with our daughters' personalities as well. She's always been punctual and has great communication. We would definitely hire again!

Dana has been an amazing babysitter for our son from when he was 10 months to now 2 years old.  Our son loves playing with her, and she is great at putting him to bed. She is dependable and so easy to work with!

Dana is amazing. She arrives on time (if not early), is warm, friendly, and is great with our little. Our little has the biggest smile when she see's Dana. Dana also is incredibly responsive and is very easy to hire. We are so thankful that we have found Dana!!

Our 4 month old daughter absolutely loved Dana! She had her giggling louder than I've ever heard. Dana spent really great quality time with her singing, doing tummy time, and exploring our backyard. It was a huge relief knowing that our little one was in such caring hands.

Dana was wonderful with my 11 month old son. She was great at getting him to warm up to her quickly and at keeping him entertained all day. She was very easy to work with and made it comfortable for my son, my husband, and me. I definitely recommend her!

Dana was out of this world wonderful with our daughter. She was super sweet, caring, calm, genuine and had a ton of fun ideas. We would absolutely hire her again.

Dana was very good with my difficult three-year-old boy. One of my favorite things was that she made sure he had sunscreen on, because of his light skin. She kept him safe, even though he is rambunctious. She played with him constantly for 7 hours. She kept him entertained and he was very happy to see her and sad when she left. She's a great person and if I need more help in the future, I will want to hire her. Also, I wasn't concerned about her coming into our home, if she were sick or if she had been exposed. She's very responsible in that way.

My husband and I interviewed Dana over the phone and in our home and she was very eager to hold and love on our 2.5mo old baby. She was responsive to calls and texts, punctual to the interview and very professional. She was flexible and relaxed when it came to specific requests we had for our daughter's care. I really liked that she's against screen time- which was confirmed by her current employer, who gave her a wonderful review overall. I think Dana would have been a perfect nanny for our daughter but we ultimately went with a family friend- a very tough decision!

I LOVE Dana!! I had my baby girl 8 months ago and had my mom helping in the beginning, but at 4 months my mom went back home to MI. So we hired Dana and she has been a god send for me and my daughter!! She's so good at finding all these new things for her to do and learn! She's not big on TV, which I very much appreciate! She's always on the floor playing with my girl and takes her outside to just swing or walk around. She even deals with my hyper boxer at home! My little girl smiles when Dana comes over now I'm sure because she knows how much fun she's going to have that day! She's been with me about 4 months and I am going to hate to lose her!! But we are moving back home to Michigan to be closer to family in April. Dana has been SO flexible with us working full time! She comes in early when I need her to and shows up on time and is very responsible about communicating constantly with me and sends me pictures and videos throughout the day! I just cannot say enough great things!

We hired Dana to hang out with our toddler during our wedding ceremony and reception. Dana was punctual, kind, and professional. Our event was very busy, so I wasn't able to get a good feel for how well she connected with my toddler. But I was very grateful for her help that night!

Dana was hired this week to be the nanny of our nanny share. We had a meet & greet with the families yesterday. I asked Dana to arrive 45 mins early to tour the space & fill out new hire paperwork. 

Once we arrived, I explained my 6 mth old hadn't taken a nap & was fussy, leaving a couple of tasks undone on my to do list. While she waited for me to print her paperwork I asked if she would help assemble a wood play mat toy from Ikea. It took 10 mins. 

After the event I received feedback that Dana seemed icy. One of her references mentioned her "laid back" mood but it hadn't been a problem for their family so I reassured everyone that she would make a great nanny. 

I then received a text from Dana claiming I had manipulated her into coming early JUST to help me set up & that she felt deceived so she quit. 

Being new to nannies my feelings were hurt but also, if she couldn't help put together a toy she may not be as helpful as a new mom would need. 

So I say be careful....

She was awesome, did great kids even took them to a pool. She was awesome and gave us a stress free weekend. Thank God, she has been a great help. We would for sure hire her again.

I feel very lucky to have found Dana to watch my 2 year old. She is punctual, kind, knowledgeable, fun, and helpful. She took notes on the things we discussed to make sure she remembered everything which I appreciated. My little boy loves playing with her and she has fun with him while keeping him safe and keeping to his schedule. She is active with him and rarely has the tv on which is awesome as he is very energetic and activity makes him sleep better. She watches him overnight and tends to him as I would. I hope we are blessed to have her around for a long time. I highly recommend her as a caregiver!

Dana has been wonderful to have caring for our daughter. We struggled to find care for her until she starts daycare in September. We got lucky with Dana! She is great with our baby and our dogs like her too! Dana has been attentive to Baby J's needs, from frequent walks outside when the weather is nice to bring her to visit me for lunchtime nursing, Dana has been accommodating and supportive. Dana has also been helpful in building a nap schedule that has allowed our baby more rest during the day. Dana is fantastic!
