As a mom of 7, I officially started caregiving 6 years ago with my father, who had dementia, then a woman with primary progressive aphasia, both teaching me to show up and meet the person where they are. I want to be a real presence in someone's day, not a checklist. My philosophy is person-centered care, helping your person live as fully and independently as possible. I treat them like a whole human being, not a set of symptoms to manage. I'm comfortable with hands-on care, including toileting, medication, and Hoyer lift transfers. I'm finishing a BS in Applied Health with an eye toward Board Certified Patient Advocate certification. I'm seeking a supportive family who values curiosity over judgment, sees caregiving as a partnership where we make space for one another, and communicates openly.
