I've worked with kids as far back as high school and recently took it on as a serious career. I'm 2019, I completed a very intense contract with a tween severely on the spectrum and with severe emotional disturbances, after which I came to feel validated that I truly have the patience and personality for working with kids not easily understood. Currently, I'm serving as an in-class aide to a toddler with some impulse control. He is my 3rd student that I've done shadowing for. I'm really valuing my hands on education and experience. I have found that this line of work is so rewarding and that I'm constantly learning about humanity from these kids and how we can all better communicate with and understand each other. My other childcare experience includes soccer coaching, tutoring and being a briefly being a manny.
