About Damiyah

In my role as a caregiver, I went beyond routine daily care to create a sense of dignity, safety, and emotional comfort for every client I supported. One experience that stands out was working with an elderly resident recovering from limited mobility after a stroke. I developed a personalized care routine that included safe transfer techniques, medication reminders, mobility exercises approved by her physical therapist, and detailed monitoring of her progress each day. I learned to communicate clearly with families, document changes in condition, and coordinate with nurses and therapists to make sure everyone was informed. This experience strengthened my ability to stay calm, attentive, and compassionate while still being organized and proactive.
