I have experience working with children of all ages as a teacher in Mexico (8 years old), and as a Nanny and babysitting here in the USA (12 years old) By working with children and parents from different families (all of them working long hours) my priority was to create an environment of tranquility for parents when they return home to see that their children are being taught to eat better (drinking water, eating fruits and vegetables, eating healthy snacks) by involving them in housework and making them aware of the work that them parents do to get them forward in life. Some teaching strategies that I like to use are from doing yoga, taking walks, preparing snacks, teaching Spanish. play etc.
