Our elderly friend was rushed to intensive care with emphysema and pneumonia. Ultimately he entered hospice, returned to his apartment at a retirement community, and initially was ordered solely water, oxygen & morphine. Everyone expected he would soon pass away. Instead, Dahlyn came on short notice, bringing his wide range of caregiving expertise. He skillfully provided both comfort and cure -- pureed foods, encouraged drinking/eating/walking as able, conversation and other stimulation, and facilitating visitors. As a result, our old friend has rejuvenated since a year ago, walks well without a cane, and is still going strong!
