I sincerely believe the greatest gifts in life are children. Caring for them, as a nanny, for over 20 years brings joy to my heart and soul. My childcare experiences started at a young age, with my nieces and nephews. I enjoyed caring for them, teaching them, and nurturing their growth. My professional knowledge of child development evolved while working with the children from the Boys and Girls Club, in Chicago. Since that time, I have gained vast experience while being a nanny for many children, ranging from babies to teenagers. Personally, the most rewarding part of being a nanny is being an integral part of a child emotional, intellectual, and physical growth. I enjoy guiding and nurturing them emotionally. I take pride in teaching them with age appropriate modalities. I like to promote their physical growth by making them healthy meals and keeping them active. I also love to spend time with them outdoors at the park and exploring the environment.

Cynthia was our nanny for the past 22 months. She is a very kind and caring person with a gift of very easily relating to and conversing with others. We genuinely love her. Caring for our infant (when starting) and now toddler definitely presented some challenges because of my daughter’s strong willed personality. Additionally, I am a “Type A” mom and like things a very particular way. Cynthia did a good job navigating the challenges and managed to get my daughter crawling, walking, speaking (some Spanish words), saying her ABCs, counting to 20, recognizing colors/shapes/sight words. I’m very proud of that. Cynthia is also an excellent cook and can whip up a delicious meal with random ingredients in your fridge in no time. Obviously, none of us are perfect, which is why I can’t deliver a 5 star rating. There were times when we needed to address concerns repeatedly and not all of our expectations were met. Cynthia always accepted feedback graciously. Depending on your particular needs and expectations, Cynthia could be the perfect choice for your family. She is on time, super reliable (she actually never called in sick) and consistent. I could count on her to show up for us all the time and she was flexible throughout our time together. We appreciate what she’s done for us.
