My experience is very diverse. After raising a large family and managing a household, shopping, stocking, gopher extraordinaire experience into a transferable skillset. I have volunteered for hospice, companion care as well as caring for a sibling end of life transition. I have worked with medical care providers, done medication management, appointments in person and zoom, comfort care to transition. Cared for my own child through cancer and that required a high level of different types IV care as well as medication management. Humor while it is appropriate and kindness always. Light housekeeping, light meal prep or special occasions. Need to be out of town a few days? I do check-ins on independent seniors as companion care, pick up prescriptions, take to doctor appointments, etc. Companionship can be a psychological game changer for isolated Seniors.
