What do you want to be when you grow up? Due to being surrounded by teachers in my family, my response always was "a teacher" and that's what I have had the privilege of doing for preschool through third grade for many years. My heart is full of joy when I work with children. During the summers, I am passionate about helping children understand that "learning is fun." My goal and desire is to help a child experience that 'light turning on' moment--when understanding truly clicks--so they can build a strong foundation in whatever concept we're focusing on. Reading tends to be the area where children need the most reinforcement during the summer to ensure they are prepared for the pace and expectations of the next grade level. That said, as a full-time teacher during the school year, I am capable of supporting children in other subject areas, depending on their individual needs. I am very willing to provide recommendations.
