My name is Cynthia. I became driven to work with children with disabilities because my cousin has an intellectual disability. I grew up loving and treating him as my cousin but saw how unjust the treatment could be from others outside our family. I have now worked with children with disabilities for the past 10 years in a variety of settings. I have been their tutor, teacher, babysitter and advisor. The children I've worked with have been people with autism, intellectual disabilities, ADHD, and mental health illnesses. I am a patient, kind, and responsible individual. My work has led me to further my education. I'm currently in a graduate program where I'm studying to become a school counselor. I'm looking for part-time, flexible jobs that work around my class schedule. I uphold anti-racist and pro-LGBTQ+ values and would like to work with families with similar ideals.
