While in high school I was a dining room server at a retirement home and learned how much I loved serving and caring for the elderly. I spent time with a family friend each Tuesday night as a high schooler as well, as a companion to their elderly mother. Since college, I have 1 year of experience working with adults diagnosed with chronic mental illnesses, as a companion, advocate, and goal coach. Since then, I have been working with children as a therapist for children with autism, as well as a nanny and home schooler. I would love to be able to work alongside a senior again, since I enjoyed it so much in the past!
