I have been a prekindergarten and preschool teacher for 10 years now. I have also been a Nanny and ran my own home daycare. I have had quite a few special needs children in my class over the years and they have taught me a lot. I enjoyed the challenges of caring for and teaching them. I also come from a very big family and have a bit of experience with the older groups as well. I am close to my cousin and have helped care for her most of my life. She has Down Syndrome and is such a special girl, in many ways.
