I have been a senior caregiver for the past eight years. I have gained extensive experience with two different families. For the past 4 years, I have taken care of an older woman who has a walking disability. It was my responsibility to bathe her, dress her and assist her in anything she might need because she had limited mobility in her hands and legs. She moved to a different state so I was unable to continue to work for her. Four years before that I cared for a very sweet old lady, who had become like a mother to me. I enjoyed caring for her due to the fact that she was very sweet, and kind and a smart individual. I would help her get dressed and ready for the day, and we would get breakfast and go on walks. I would talk to her and make her day brighter. I always tried to put a smile on her face and keep her going knowing she was very old and brittle. I loved going to work everyday and being with her and it was a joy for me when I saw what a nice relationship we formed.
