About Courtney

For over 10 years, I've helped students unlock their potential and achieve academic success. I hold a graduate degree and am a certified teacher. I specialize in Math, English, and Special Education for elementary and middle school students. My teaching philosophy centers on building confidence and fostering a love for learning through engaging, supportive, and patient instruction. I assess each student's unique learning style by observing their interactions with new material and adapting my methods with visual aids, hands-on activities, and discussions. I keep students motivated by connecting challenging topics to their interests and celebrating their successes. Communication is key, so I provide regular updates to parents. I am experienced with Individualized Education Programs (IEP) and student accommodation plans (504). CPR training and First Aid certified. Seeing a student's confidence blossom is the most rewarding part of tutoring.
