About Courtney

Hi! My name is Courtney, and I'm a graduate student at TCU in special education. I am currently going through my teaching certification in general education ec-6 grades, have hands-on experience as a teaching assistant as well as a registered behavior therapist, where I work with students who have learning, attention, and behavioral challenges. With my mixed background in Gen-ED and special ed, I have the right approach to help both students with specific learning disabilities or without in their academic subject(s) and/or executive functioning skills like organization, planning, and task follow-through. My tutoring style is patient, structured, and encouraging. I break concepts down step-by-step, use clear explanations, and adjust my approach to match each child's learning style. I don't just help with homework-I help students build confidence, independence, and skills they can use in the classroom and beyond!
