About Courtney

Hi! My name is Courtney, and I'm currently a sophomore at NLU pursuing my degree in Early Childhood Education. Working with children has always been a huge part of my life, and I truly consider it both my passion and purpose. My background in childcare began early, I was fortunate to be surrounded by the world of childcare thanks to my mom, who is a daycare director and holds a degree in Early childhood education. I spent countless hours around young kids, observing how they learn, grow, and respond to love and structure. The experience quickly taught me how to handle the real, day-to-day responsibilities of caring for an infant--feeding, changing, soothing, and creating a safe, loving atmosphere. I learned the importance of routine, patience, and being adaptable. Since then, I've continued to babysit for various families and have worked with children of different ages.
