I've been pet sitting as a side job for the past 15 years. Generally, I care for dogs and cats. I'm open to caring for other types of pets, too. I work full-time but when I care for pets I usually spend the night in the pet's home. I walk them before & after work and take them potty before bed & at other times as needed. I feed the pets as directed by the family & give meds/supplements as needed. Occasionally, if a I am asked to sit at more than one house at the same time, if one of the families is fine with me not sleeping at their house, I will visit the pet(s) several times throughout the day for meals, walks, & company. These arrangements are discussed with the family beforehand. The pets in my care are well taken care of and I very much enjoy and appreciate taking care of pets while families are away. I take good care of the family's home. Typically, I am paid $30-35/day for one dog/$40 for two dogs & so on. One-time daily check in with cats is $16 ($30 for two visits).
