About Cori

I have been babysitting since I was about 12 years old. When I first started I obtained my "Babysitting Certificate" through the Lionville YMCA. I have 2 god-daughters, one 10 and the other 5 years of age. I have watched them since the 10-year-old was 9 months old. I am a Certified EMT in the state of Pennsylvania, and am planning on going back to school to obtain a degree in Early Childhood Education. I have volunteered for at least 15 years with the Special Olympics of Chester County, and in high school volunteered with what was called "Parent's Night Out". "Parents Night Out" was when parents with special needs children would drop their kids off for a couple hours and we would take care of them and play with them until the parents returned so they could enjoy a night out by themselves. Through that, I also babysat a couple of the children from there on the side. My mother was a Special Education teacher for 35 years, and I would volunteer to chaperone at her school's events.
