About Cora

Aloha, I'm Cora. Originally I am from Portland Oregon, I moved to Hilo when I was about it 12 years old. My parents had a daycare most of my life it was called, Hakunamatata Family Childcare based in Oregon City. In my early days I learned how to take care of children often learning from and helping my parents. I spent much of my childhood babysitting daycare kids on weekends, and after hours as needed. I have my CPR certification from the American Red Cross from the beginning of this year. I am in the process of getting my life guard certification as well. During the past year, I have been a Waterfall Rappel guide (Umauma and Kulaniapia falls)... due to the crazy weather this year as the El Niño approaches, I've decided to go my separate ways and delve into other career options. I am planning on going back to college part time this January, I believe a position in childcare would be the perfect fit for me as I love children.
