I now am involved in tutoring elementary school-aged children in the school districts--predominantly working on math and reading skills. Reading is a skill necessary for success in all phases of life, beginning in elementary school. I'm finding that if children do not have the basic readiness skills in reading, followed by math, then their ability to excel falls short and their self esteem plummets.
