About Connie

My experience as a caregiver began with my sister in 2017. I helped in her home for 5 years as caregiver. At the time I was living with her and teaching ESE middle school classes. I retired when my sister was hospitalized and needed help when she came home. I had the privilege of helping her and with the house and other responsibilities necessary for daily life. In 2022 she passed and left a big hole in my life. But I realized that caregiving was a way to help others and improve their circumstances. I began working at as a caregiver with a local company and was able to work with her for 2 1/2 years. It was very gratifying to get to know her and develop a mutual caring relationship. During that time it was a pleasure going to work knowing your work mattered so much to someone. That is why I have chosen to stay in the caregiving vocation.
