My name is Collette. I have been caring for an elderly gentleman for 5 years. I have done everything from bathing and dressing, prompting for meds, lunch and snacks, changing bandages, to shaving and nail care. I have also taken gentleman's to doctor's , and VA appointments. During these 5 years I've assessed and help engage this gentleman in age/cognitive appropriate activities. This includes rides to Quabbin for picnic, ice cream at Friendlys, Shopping as appropriate, leaf peeping. When his ability to leave the house became difficult, solitaire on iPad, music, adult coloring, TV. when wanted, card playing, and anything else that helps to engage the client. I enjoy the one to one conversation, and getting to know the client.
