About Colleen

I'd describe my personality as reliable, kind and compassionate. My passion is helping others. I enjoy creating conversation with seniors and listening to their stories and to the wealth of wisdom that they have gained over the years. I find pleasure in making them comfortable, cooking/cleaning for them, driving them to appointments and simply bringing joy into their day. I'm looking for a job that allows me to brighten someone's day by making things easier for them. I started caring for seniors when I retired from my 30 year teaching career. I currently work part time as a PCA (Patient Care Assistant or Nurse Aide) in a rehabilitation center where I assist the nursing staff and therapists with a variety of different tasks. While working in a rehabilitation center I learned how to ambulate patients from bed /chair to bathroom. In addition, I can take vital signs, bath and dress individuals. I enjoy creating conversation and making them feel valued, important and loved.
