About Colleen

Hello, I'm Colleen L.! I am a 2017 graduate of McCutcheon High School, and a 2020 graduate of Ivy Tech Community College with an Associate's Degree in Psychology. I have always had a passion for working with children, and have been babysitting since my early teens. I started working at My Gym Children's Fitness Center in Lafayette in July of 2018. In 2020 I was promoted to Director of the gym. My weekly tasks included answering calls, texts, and emails, planning monthly events, doing mobile classes at daycares and preschools, and covering shifts when needed for other teachers. I stepped down as Director within the past year due to wanting to pursue an Elementary Education Bachelor's Degree at Purdue University in spring 2024. My tasks as a shift lead include leading good quality children's fitness classes while directing parents and children, deep cleaning the facility, leading camps, events, and birthday parties, changing diapers, and making lifelong connections.
