About Colleen

Hello! I am 52, married, and mother to a fur baby. I'd describe my personality as relaxed, patient, and fun! I like working with kids because all children have worth and I love helping them see that in themselves. All children deserve to have loving adults in their life who want the best for them. I'm looking for a job that will allow me to care for children in their own home where they're comfortable. I started working with kids when I was 12 and continued babysitting all throughout my teen years. At 22, I moved to Chicago to nanny for one family for 2. 5 years. In more recent years, I have been heavily involved with leading and teaching the children's congregation at my church. In my spare time, I like to take my dog for walks, go to Zumba classes, read, and take piano lessons. One thing you should know about me is that I love children and see the good in each and every one. My skills include patience, guiding/teaching them, and showing appropriate affection.
