About Colleen

Caring for people, especially children, animals and people who need special care, has always come naturally to me. I am able to establish rapid rapport, clients responding with trust and cooperation with me. Through high school and university, I babysat, did pet care and tended to my senior neighbors. Prior to that, I had younger siblings and cousins for whose care I was frequently made responsible. As an adult, I've been a full-time caregiver: a nanny, to infants, children and adolescents; a caregiver for senior and disabled adults and a dog and cat walker and sitter. For 7 years I taught full time public high school. Though caregiving service can be intense work, I've used constructive ways to diffuse upsets; rectify misunderstandings; and reestablish cooperation. I'm emphatic, while calm, maintaining boundaries. I find service work rewarding, achieved unprecedented advances through my work with clients. I look forward to your inquiries.
