Cleire has been truly an indispensable care partner for us for more than 18 months and counting. She has risen to the challenge of caring for my husband with late stage Huntington's disease, even when he has been characteristically difficult to handle. She thrives in providing the highest levels of care and assistance regardless of the what needs to be done, e.g. dressing, personal care, laundry, wound care, driving him to appointments, scheduling medical appointments and ensuring he makes it to them on-time - another feat with HD patients, light housework, teaching both of us proper methods and techniques for using the walker, standing-up from a sitting position, being seated at the table, walking (which has become extremely difficult for my husband due to the progressive nature of HD), etc. She is cheerful, caring, supportive, creative, friendly, professional, present in the moments always, and can be the best friend you know at certain times.
