About Claudia

I am a New York Certified Elementary Teacher. I am extremely confident in my instructional skills. I can tutor reading and/or mathematics in my home, parents present always, or in your home with a parent at home. Based on my years of experience, I am qualified to tutor mathematics or reading (ELA) to grades kindergarten through grade 8. I believe strongly in parent involvement, and I am also available to accompany any parent to a parent/teacher conference to discuss the strengths and weaknesses of the student. I am a diagnostic, remedial teacher, so I always do a thorough initial evaluation to identify the strengths and weakness of the student. A report is provided to the parent by mail after each tutoring session. All assessments are provided to the parent to share with the student's classroom teacher. Together -- you, me, your child, and your child's classroom teacher can give extra support to the students in order to bring out the most academic gains possible.
