About Claudia

I started working with children several years ago in undergrad, and realized I have a strong passion for it. I have worked in residential settings with adolescents, private preschool, and special education in public school as a 1:1 paraprofessional. I am currently pursuing a Masters in School Psychology at Columbia, in hopes to become a school psychologist in a public school and eventually seek further training/education to do assessment. I love all kiddos, and my bubbly, silly, and kind personality makes it easy and natural for me to relate to them and build trusting relationships. I have expertise and experience working with kiddos with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Down Syndrome. I love crafts, reading, walks, and education. I believe play is the work of children and love to contribute to happy, healthy individuals! As I'm in NYC, I do not drive, but am well-versed with transportation and always plan ahead.
