About Clara

Greetings, my name is Clara and I offer a well-rounded childcare service for your curious and energetic children. I am a very active person and like to spend time outside. I am also an artist and enjoy drawing, crafting, practicing calligraphy, etc. I am a big fan of reading books aloud, cooking healthy food, and helping with homework. I am happy to share my combined knowledge and experience with children, as I always learn from them as well. I began babysitting in high school and continued on to other forms of childcare during college. My combined experience as a ski and snowboard instructor, a river guide, and an assistant teacher have given me a passion for working with children and a wide-ranging capacity to do so. Childcare reawakens my own sense of wonder while teaching me important lessons for when I might have children of my own. For me, Shepherdstown was a joyous place to grow up. I am excited to share it with others as they grow and explore our small town for themselves.
