About Clara

Hello there! My name is Clara and I would love to help care for your family. I babysat all through high school and nannied during the summers in between my college academic years. I have been working at a special education school that strives to meet the needs of students with ADHD and autism for the past 10 months in Portland. My role is focused on teaching in our life skills lab as well as our therapeutic garden. I believe that connecting with children at any age takes time, so I enter each relationship with patience and warmth. I have a playful soul, balanced with the belief that clear is kind. I am a strong communicator when it comes to expectations and safety, as well as my own needs. I live in Southeast Portland and do not have a car, but am eager to help with evening/late night jobs. I will be moving to Chicago in August, but I'm happy to be an on-call babysitter and am looking forward to meeting you and your family!
