About Clara

I have a bachelors degree in Human Development and Family Studies, which focused on how to best support children's bio, psycho, and social development. In my undergraduate education I also took a special interest in attachment theory, and as a research assistant studied ideally secure attachment between caregivers and children ages 3-6. I've spent the last two years working as a Youth Support Specialist with youth with significant mental health and behavioral needs, in a residential setting. My responsibilities in this role included supervising safety and behavior, and planning fun, enriching activities. I recently transitioned back to be being a full-time student and am in the first term of my Master's Degree program in Clinical Social Work at Simmons University online. My personal interests include hiking, baking sourdough, knitting, yoga, and reading. I believe in building authentic, trusting relationships with kids and love to share these hobbies with them!
