About Claire

Hello! I am currently a rising junior at Syracuse University studying journalism and policy studies, but I also have years of experience in childcare. In high school, I worked at the Chattahoochee Nature Center's Camp Kingfisher as a summer camp counselor for three years. There I managed various groups of campers from ages 5-12, taking them across the camp for different activities, including arts and crafts and canoeing. For two summers after that, I worked as an assistant toddler teacher at Covered Bridge Montessori School, where I helped manage a class of 20 children aged 1-3 alongside two other teachers. I helped facilitate learning activities and outdoor time, teaching about nature, art, reading and more. Ultimately, I love working with kids and am passionate about spending quality time with them, and teaching them new things along the way.
