About Claire

I am an incoming bioengineering student at Rice University and currently looking to help any families in need of a summer babysitter whether for only one night or all summer long. In high school, I volunteered for any and all opportunities to care for kids whether it was babysitting teachers' kids, being a teacher assistant for afterschool elementary Playdough Club of 10-14 kids, or looking after 20-30 elementary schoolers waiting afterschool for a school event/concert. In my sophomore and junior years of high school, I regularly took care for three expat families in Korea: an 8-year-old boy, a 4-year-old boy, and alongside my brother, a family of 4 ages ranging from 4-10. My previous experiences as a babysitter, a club officer and Student Council Member, and research intern have taught me how to communicate and problem-solve with compassion. I am also trained and certified for Wilderness First Aid and admission of Epinephrine Auto-injector.
