About Claire

Hello, I'm a loving, educated nanny, postpartum doula, and positive discipline parent educator with 20 years' experience working with children & families. I've also taught in Montessori, Waldorf & Reggio Emilia classrooms. I'm a member of the International Nanny Association, and spoke at the 1st & 2nd annual Nanny Training Day in Providence. This fall, I'll be available some Tuesdays. I've worked with the most wonderful, kind, inspiring families, & many have become like extended family to me. I love taking children on adventures outdoors, to libraries, parks, hikes, classes & events, or staying home doing art & science projects, reading, & making play dates. I believe that play is essential (both collaborative & independent,) and avoid screens. In intense moments, I strive to remain loving, firm and calm, talk through feelings, & encourage empathy. Safety is always my top priority! Excellent references available.
