About Claire

I'd describe my personality as inquisitive, energetic, and kind. I like working with kids because nothing is more fulfilling than watching them grow into their own people. I started working with kids when I was 14 years old babysitting for a family that at the time had a 8-month-old little boy. I still watch their now 5-year-old and 4-year-old regularly as well as other family friends with school age children and have worked in a professional day care setting with young toddlers. In my spare time, I like to read, bake, and spend time with friends and family playing board games and watching movies. One thing you should know about me is while most of my experience is with toddlers I participated in a high school program that allowed to to intern in a third grade classroom and learn about the development of children from birth to 8th grade. I am also a licensed paraprofessional. My skills include teaching emotional regulation, tutoring/education, and encouraging independence.
