I booked Claire immediately after she responded that she was available for a job. I messaged her within 5min of booking. I didn't think anything of her not replying until the next morning (24hrs before she was booked). I messaged her again that afternoon and she still left me on read. Again this is after booking and confirming payment. I was unable to find another sitter through Care.com due to this. I dad have several people say they were interested, but I had already booked Claire. By the time I realized that I had been ghosted, I was unable to book anyone else who had previously been interested because of late notice. I waited on the off chance that she might still show up this morning. She did not. I am extremely disappointed in this outcome. I was unable to miss work today due to having several meetings and this is not acceptable behavior!
