About Claire

Hello! I would like to start with saying thank you for your consideration of me. My name is Claire, I'm a newly-married college student working towards my teaching degree, and I have about 2 years of child care experience at a daycare focusing on early childhood education. In my 2 years of being a two's teacher, along with a few years of babysitting my nephew, I learned the vitality of empathy, understanding, patience, consistency, mutual respect, and a willingness to change and adapt in child-caregiver relationships. I continued to learn that through these virtues, children learn to feel safe, accepted, and valued; And while there will always be bumps in the road, it is my responsibility (and privilege) to help kiddos practice using their voice respectfully and kindly - whether it be towards myself, a friend, parents, or siblings. I am more than capable and happy to respect your boundaries, follow your preferred style of communication, adapt to changes, and take feedback!
