Hello! My name is Claire and I am a PhD student at the University of Chicago, where I study chemistry. I recently graduated from Hope College, in Holland, Michigan, with a BS in Chemistry and a BA in Spanish. I then went abroad to Switzerland for a year on a Fulbright Scholarship. During the summers in college I always spent time nannying (up to full-time) 1-3 children, including working with special needs kids. I really enjoy spending time with little ones and fostering their imaginations and joys. Also, during my time at Hope College, I individually tutored 10+ students in chemistry, biology, and Spanish. I was also a teaching assistant for 6 different courses in chemistry and biology. I continued pursing teaching at UChicago with an assistantship. I love tutoring and helping students achieve their goals!
