About Cissy

Empowering students to reach their full potential is at the heart of my teaching practice. With three years of experience, I specialize in Math, English, Test Preparation, and Study Skills for students ranging from elementary school through college. I prioritize building confidence and fostering a genuine love for learning over simple memorization. By observing your unique interactions with new material, I tailor my approach--using visual aids, hands-on activities, or discussions--to suit your specific needs. I keep sessions engaging by connecting complex concepts to your personal interests and breaking problems into manageable steps. I believe clear communication with both students and parents is essential for building trust and tracking progress. Nothing is more rewarding than witnessing your "aha!" moment when a difficult concept finally clicks. I look forward to supporting your academic journey and celebrating your growth as we work toward your goals together.
