About Cindy

With 20 years of experience in education and 15 years working with children and adults with dual diagnoses, My passion for working with individuals with disabilities stems from my late sister, who had Down syndrome. As an educator, I specialize in positive behavioral management, fostering a structured yet nurturing classroom where students feel safe, motivated, and empowered to learn. I believe in the power of collaboration and prioritize strong partnerships with families, colleagues, and the broader community to support student growth. Beyond academics, I am a strong advocate for social-emotional well- being. I have integrated mindfulness, yoga, and restorative practice yo my school community. This past year I was selected Teacher of the year and received an award from the City school of Bellflower for out standing service in the Bellflower community. I have been described as young at heart and love interacting with babies, toddlers and young children.
