I started my career at the infant home, caring for severely disabled children. I did passing meds , feeding them and caring for them. after a year I went down to the cottage. I took care of 18 boys. all there medical, dental and mental health issues. after two years I applied to the mother baby position and I got it. teaching very young girls how to care for their babies. also taught them how babies are made and how not to be in the situation again. I really enjoyed every aspect of my career. after 5 years I decided to pursue some hospital experience at ECMC. My first job was in charge of the step down open heart unit. telemetry, caring for patients with heart problems. I loved it.
