About Christy

For the past 10 years, I've been passionate about helping students unlock their full potential. With a college degree and as a certified teacher, I create engaging and supportive learning environments where students feel comfortable tackling any challenge. I build rapport and meet students where they are, adapting my teaching through visual aids, hands-on activities, and open discussions to suit individual learning styles. I break down complex problems and encourage curiosity to keep students motivated. Communication is key, so I provide regular updates to parents, fostering a collaborative environment. I am experienced with Individualized Education Programs (IEP) and student accommodation plans (504). Seeing a student's confidence soar as they grasp new concepts is the most rewarding part of my work. I tutor English, test preparation, special education, and study skills at all levels.
