About Christy

Christy cared for my mom for 3 yrs. She provided care with kindness and insured dignity and respect at all times. She was adept at dealing with frustration, agitation, and memory loss and maintained patience and respect. Care was provided at my mom's pace. Christy showed great initiative. She demonstrated strong, effective communication, developing a communication book, med logs, leaving detailed notes, etc. to insure all caregivers were aware of issues. Her nursing background was evident in all care aspects and she was attentive to both verbal and nonverbal cues as well as checking vitals for physical issues ea. shift. Christy was organized and trustworthy as well as adaptable and flexible, covering shifts, staying late, etc. She was never found sitting and was always cleaning (inside and outside) or organizing the work environment when mom was sleeping. Good stamina and able to perform lifting, positioning, transferring, and assisting with mobility. Very attentive and detail-oriented, always looking for safety issues and creating signage for O2, masks, hand hygiene etc. She reported mental and physical changes to me ea shift. She has a range of skills and helped with meal prep, housekeeping, first aid, and home maintenance tasks.
