About Christy

I've worked with children professionally in many venues. Over the years I've worked as a garden teacher of elementary students, a forestry teacher to sixth graders, a substitute teacher from tots to high school, a nanny and in-home support for a child with developmental disabilities, a part-time and full-time nanny for multiple families over the past 10 years with children ranging in age from 2 months to 12 years. Informally I've acted as mentor, guide and friend to many tiny people! My training with children began as an 11-year-old with a newborn sister, continued as a 13-year-old with another newborn sister, then as a 16-year-old with a nephew. Now as a 39-year-old woman, I have 10 nieces and nephews, a slew of under 12 friends and a long history of caring for children professionally. In addition, I am a yoga teacher, Reiki practitioner, herbalist in training, impromptu dance party extraordinaire and purveyor of all things sparkling with magic.
